I hate this saying but, fuck my life.
I was just looking at the programs being offered at the Vancouver Film School and everything was going great. I found a program which is basically what I wanna do, Sound Design for Visual Media, but after reading the requirements I needed to get into it I found out that I had to take Foundation Visual Art & Design which is fine by me since I’d have more experience in a wider range of work. That was until I saw the prices for each… $20,500 for Foundation Visual Art & Design and $28,250 for Sound Design for Visual Media.
Sure, I know it’s an investment and I’d be making the money back with time but it’s still nearly $50,000!!! First of all I highly doubt I’d be able to get that much out of the government for student loans and second how long would it take me to pay it back with interest and all? Ugh, this sucks so bad. I was ready to pay something close to $20,000 but $50,000 is just too much.
I think I’ll start buying lottery tickets tomorrow and hope for the best.
